7.10 km is the symbolic distance of the event — but every group leader sets their group's start time, and can also choose a different distance, based on the location and participants. Always check the exact details on the page of the group you're joining.

Run710 is a civilian, decentralized, non-competitive memorial event held on October 7, 2026. Local running groups at hundreds of points across Israel run together for 7.10 km, each in their own place.

Is there a fee to participate?
No. Run710 is a volunteer initiative, nonprofit, with no fundraising and no payment required from participants.
There's no group in my area, what do I do?
Anyone can open a new running group in their area through the "Open a group" page. Once approved, the group will appear on the map and you'll be able to invite people to join it. You can also run independently and generate a personal bib.
What is the distance and route of the run?
The recommended distance is 7.10 km (7.1 kilometers), symbolic of the event, and each group chooses its exact route based on its local meeting point. Group leaders can also choose a different distance for their group, such as a shorter or longer route, based on what suits participants in their area. It's worth checking the details on the specific group's page.
Why is it important to register instead of just showing up?
Registration serves two main purposes: 1. Real-time updates — registering lets group leaders update you with all the important details ahead of the run: the exact meeting point, the route, the start time and safety notes. 2. A personal memorial bib number — every registrant receives a bib number bearing the name of one of those who fell or were murdered on October 7 and in the war (you can get a random name or choose up to 6 names in advance from our database), so we can run in their memory.
Who is behind this initiative?
We are a group of citizens and athletes from across the country, each of us with a personal connection to the pain of October 7 — residents of the Gaza border communities, reservists, bereaved family members, and people who lost close friends. Out of a love of running and a desire to remember, we decided to connect sports with the values of memory and unity, and create one shared moment for the whole country.
Is the initiative run in cooperation with organizations, authorities or sponsors?
No. This is a fully independent, volunteer-run civilian initiative. We have no official cooperation with any commercial or political body, and we don't accept sponsorships or donations. Our only goal is to remember the people we lost, connect people, and run together.
How do I generate a new bib number?
Through the website, on the “Bib number” page. At the top of the page choose “I already registered — print my bib again”, enter the email address you registered with, and reissue the bib for printing.
Can I change the names on my bib number?
Yes, and that's absolutely fine. On the “Bib number” page you can generate a new bib at any time and pick its names again: replace the name you were given with another, add more alongside it (up to 6 in total), or remove one. Choose “I already registered — print my bib again” at the top of the page, enter the email address you registered with, pick the names and print. A name that was on your bib stays on the group's memorial wall even after you swap it — nobody is erased.
Leading a group?
We'll help you set it up. No need to produce a race. You just need to choose:
- A meeting point
- A safe route — the default is 7.10 km, but you can choose another distance
- A start time that suits your group
- Someone to lead the group
- And invite people to join
Once you send us the details, we'll approve the group and it will appear on the site.
You manage your own group. You set the start time, and you can also choose a distance other than 7.10 km, based on what suits your location and participants.
